What are Demo, Certified Pre-owned (CPO), New and Refurbished Smartphones?

Demo Smartphones are no different to brand new phones but are sold up to 40% cheaper than buying a new phone. They are in like-new condition with minimal / no marks or scratches and are fully functional and performing like new. They come in their original box (unless its condition was unsuitable a plain box will be provided) and contain all Original parts and unless specified all the original unused accessories. Their batteries are unused with 100% capacity as good as new. The only difference from a brand new phone is the box has been opened and the manufacturer warranty may not be claimed. All Demo phones are sold with a Techexchange 6-month warranty and 7 day guarantee will ensure you are covered in the event of any hardware faults not caused by physical or liquid damage.

All Demo phones have undergone an extensive functionality and quality assessment before they go out for sale. Refurbished New Smartphones are equivalent to brand new phones, reconditioned to ‘Factory New’ states. Extensively tested and assessed to be performing 100% like new and quality checked. Package in their box with new accessories or charging cable. All Refurbished New phones are sold with a TechExchange 6 month warranty and 7 day guarantee to ensure you are covered in the event of any hardware or software faults not caused by physical or liquid damage. 

Certified Pre-owned / CPO Smartphones are purchased through reputable channels and are all  in Grade A excellent conditions unless stated in the product descriptions. CPO stands for Certified Pre-owned as these smartphones have been certified to function and perform like new phones. Extensively tested and quality checked to be a class above used and second hand phones. Battery capacity are between 80-100%.  All Certified Pre-owned phones are sold with a premium generic charger and a 6 month Techexchange warranty and 7 day guarantee to ensure you are covered in the event of any hardware or software faults not caused by physical or liquid damage. 

New imported iPhones which are older discontinued models are refurbished to New and function and look brand new. They are packaged in original boxes with original charging cables. New imported iPhones are sold with a 6 month Techexchange warranty and 7 day guarantee to ensure you are covered in the event of any hardware faults not caused by physical or liquid damage. Their parts are a combination of original Apple parts but components like batteries and display may have been replaced with Grade A parts if they required replacing. This will in no way hinder their quality and functionality but if you are not satisfied we offer a 7 day guarantee to replace or refund your New iPhone within the first 7 days of receiving it. Any hardware issues not caused by damage will be covered by our 6 month Techexchange warranty. Please note in some cases the serial number may not match the device and packaging but the IMEI number will be the same for insurance purposes.

The following criteria are met when testing Demo, CPO and Refurbished phones

• Buttons: All buttons/switches work (volume up and down, silence, lock screen).
• Cameras: Camera(s) work (front and back).
• Software, Data and Settings: The device is reset to factory settings with a current version of the Operating System (iOS or Android).
• Connectivity: Wi-Fi works (can connect to a Wi-Fi network) Single call made (using a SIM card and not a VoIP call).
• Bluetooth PC Connection works (can connect to a laptop/PC).
• GPS and Compass: The GPS and compass functions work accurately.
• Power On: Device Powers on (without external power – i.e. without charging)
• Battery Health: Cycles less than 700 & Capacity 85% of OEM battery. Device charges when connected to external power.
• Sensors: All sensors work properly.
• Microphones / Speakers / Headphones: All microphones/speakers work (primary and secondary) Headset / earphones connection works.
• Touch Screen/Home Button: Finger Touch / Touch ID works.
• Vibration: Device vibration works.
• Hardware / Housing / LCD: No wear and tear damage that is visible to the naked eye from 20cm away. The device is clean and looks as good as new.
